Staten Advisors is a provider of wealth management and financial planning services for individuals, pension funds and both public and private charities.  

The company was founded when management became convinced that it is increasingly difficult to find tailored, high-quality wealth management advice for those with under $10 million to invest.  The company typically designs and manages portfolios of $250,000 or more, after thoughtfully reviewing the client’s personal and financial circumstances.  Staten Advisors takes the position that all investment decisions should be delivered only after careful evaluation of clients’ needs, risk tolerances and time frames.  The firm’s advice comes from a perspective that is informed by portfolio management expertise, tax sensitivity and a full understanding of trust and estate issues that impact invididuals, families and retirees.

Catherine M. Paulo is the president of Staten Advisors.  A trust and estates attorney with significant tax background, Ms. Paulo served as chief trust and investment officer of SI Bank & Trust for nine years, prior to which she held the same function at Gateway State Bank for seven years.  She was an associate at Townley & Updike and also at Carter, Ledyard & Milburn.  An honors graduate of Vassar College , she holds her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark and her Master of Arts from the University of Chicago .  Ms. Paulo sits on the Finance and Investment Committees of St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers of New York as well as the St. Vincent ’s Staten Island Hospital Advisory Council. She also sits on the Board of the Community Board Capital Foundation  Born and raised on Staten Island, she lives in West Brighton with her husband, Stephen, and two children, Thomas and Francesca
